The University of Pardubice, together with 5 other Czech universities, organised the Euforia Stage festival to celebrate and inform about the start of the Czech EU Presidency. Many lectures, competitions, activities and concerts were organised for students and the general public right in the centre of Pardubice.
The Czech Republic will hold the Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 July. During the next six months, the Czech Republic will raise its priorities at meetings of EU representatives. Our priority is to have a modern, safe, strong, healthy and cohesive Europe.
During the festival, we presented the priorities and functioning of the EU Presidency and explained the benefits of the Czech Republic's membership in the European Union. The festival ended with concerts by three Czech bands, which sent the crowds into raptures.
