Dear colleagues, dear students,
I would like to address you at the beginning of the new academic year at our university.
I would like to welcome the more than 3 000 new students who are entering the classrooms, laboratories, and faculties of the University of Pardubice for the very first time. I believe that you will bring new energy to our university, you will fall in love with your fields of study, you will like your teachers, and with the same passion, you will also enjoy our campus, the proximity to the centre of Pardubice or the amazing surroundings of the Faculty of Restoration in Litomyšl.
Being an undergraduate means thinking about where you want to go in life, but also being interested in and part of a community. Our university's slogan "Find your identity" describes the chance to find yourself while studying. I'm sure that during your studies and by getting involved in university societies or sports and other events that happen on campus or in the city, you will make friendships for life, and also help to make Pardubice a true university city. As a graduate of the University of Pardubice, I can confirm this.
Let me also welcome our colleagues, teachers, and all the staff of the University in the new academic year. I would like to wish you success in all the work challenges that lie ahead, good relations with colleagues, promises of new collaborations, and plenty of patience and commitment. We all have the same goal: we want to be part of a respected university that provides young people with quality education and safe facilities, and provides us with good working conditions.
We are one community, one university. I wish everyone a successful academic year.
