Description:
The project focuses on improvement of ICT literacy of the academic staff and another university employees, who are required to work effectively with information and use state-of-the-art information technologies. The aim of the project is to offer the target user group further development of their ICT literacy in an efficient way and to the required extend, taking into consideration their specific needs. After the specification of the interest, a catalogue of courses will be created, a computer lab will be equipped, lectures will be delivered by university and external teachers, and the system enabling the target group to be involved in the educational process will be established. The PC application, which will be part of the UPa information system, will support the educational process. Experienced ICT specialists of the investigator will become members of the project team. The specialists from Microsoft Ltd. and Sun Microsystems Czech Ltd. companies, who are highly experienced in supporting ICT university education, will provide the team with the professional assitance and consultation. Technical supervisors will be involved in the project.
