Description:
The main aim of the project called The Educational Compound (Campus) Polabiny is to improve conditions for educational preparation of highly educated people for our society. These objective points to both innovational potential with emphasis to non-technological innovations and improving of competiveness and economic growth. In the case of the project the intention is to satisfy needs of humanities and economical fields implemented at the University of Pardubice (further referred to as ?UPa?) but also some technical fields as well. This corresponds to involvement of three faculties: Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Faculty of Economics and Administration and Jan Perner Transport Faculty. The core of the project is to modernize current infrastructure ? buildings of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty, Rectorate buildings and a part of buildings used for the Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy. The key factor is the reconstruction of heavy machinery laboratories of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty to modern structure that will match qualitative and quantitative standards of global university institutions. In accordance with The Strategic Plan for Educational, Research, Development, Artistic and Other Creative Activities of the University of Pardubice the reconstructed premises will be used to solve the issue of insufficient spatial conditions for teaching combined with research at the three mentioned faculties. The main aim will be achieved by realizing these partial objectives: 1. Reconstruction and modernization of the heavy machinery laboratories, transformation into lecture halls and laboratories 2. Connection of reconstructed buildings 3. Equipment of the reconstructed premises with modern information and communication technology 4. Construction of atrium and dining facility
