In order to limit personal contact as much as possible, the University of Pardubice asks you to communicate with its staff only electronically or over the phone. All university offices are running with at least one person on duty, while others support them from home.
Please make sure you wear face masks or other available protection to protect yourselves and people around you when meeting them. Strictly follow hygiene rules recommended to prevent coronavirus spread.

Update March 15, 2020
On Sunday 15 March the Czech Government declared a quarantine in the whole Czech Republic till 24 March (6am). What does it mean for you?
In practical terms, people will be allowed to leave their homes only to buy food and medicine, commute to work, go to hospitals and banks, or take trips related to the care of the young and the elderly.
People throughout the country should not leave their homes other than for work or emergencies. But is not forbidden to take a short walk in a park on your own or with members of your family that you live with.
The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the Czech Republic is in the hundreds now. Over 5,000 people have been quarantined. Two-thirds of those diagnosed were infected abroad, one third within the Czech Republic.

Update March 13, 2020
Due to the declaration of the state of emergency dated on Thursday 12 March 2020 by the Czech Government, all outbound and inbound mobility of students as well as academic, administrative or other staff involved in the sphere of higher education at the University of Pardubice have been suspended until further notice.

Upon the outcomes of the National Security Council, the Rector of the University of Pardubice takes the following actions:
- With effect from 11 March 2020 until called off, all teaching at the University of Pardubice which requires students´ presence in classes is cancelled.
- In relation to this measure, the Deans of faculties and the Head of the Language Centre within their competences shall stipulate conditions of self-study or distance study forms.
- The Rector requests that all employees and students of the University pay increased attention to the hygienic rules, limit personal contact, keep monitoring the updated information and recommendations on the Intranet and further generally binding measures of the government bodies.
- The Rector announces that a higher level of cleaning service in the University premises has been provided for.
