Faculty of Restoration organizes international conference Renaissance and Mannerist stucco north of the Alps – internal and external ties, contexts, and correlations.

The conference will focus on the research into Renaissance stucco in its art-history context, its technology aspects, and art-craft singularities. Contributions emphasizing its cross-boundary context are warmly welcome as well as case studies of restoration projects, technology research and traditional techniques. The topics are predominantly focused on stucco art created up to 1620 in the Central European area, north of the Alps. The organizers invite art-historians, heritage professionals, scientists, architects, restorers and conservators and students for active oral presentation, poster section or passive participation.
