Visa and immigration
To start off, we suggest that you consult the following website where you can find crucial information concerning visas/residence permits etc.

The full official name of the “Immigration Office” is: “The Department For Asylum And Migration Policy (OAMP)”. On the following pages, we decided to write “Immigration Office” to make this information clearer.
Note: "The Foreign Police" is a seperate department whose tasks and missions are different from those of the Immigration Office.
Below you can find some helpful information about the Visa process and the documents you are required to submit with the visa application.
We suggest you apply for a Long-term residence permit for study purposes for citizens from non-EU countries. The right place to apply for the permit is at the Czech Embassy in your country, before coming to the Czech Republic.
Documents needed:
- A travel document
- A document confirming the purpose of your stay in the Czech Republic (issued by the University of Pardubice)
Proof of accommodation
- If you are hosted at the dormitories of the University of Pardubice, you can ask the International Office to get this proof of accommodation.) Note: You will be charged 100 CZK for this form.
- If you have your own flat, you submit a rental agreement or The document called the “Potvrzení o zajištění ubytování (fyzická osoba)“ (= proof of accommodation). Download this form here: Forms and Documents - frs.gov.cz
Note: The proof of accommodation must be the original document, written in Czech, with a certified signature- A photograph
- A Document confirming the availability of funds for your stay in the Czech Republic
1 semester - for a stay from September 1st until February 28th it would be (15 * 3 130) + (5 * 2 * 3 130) = 46 950 + 31 300 = 78 250 CZK.
1 year - for a stay from September 1st until August 31st it would be (15 * 3 130) + (11 * 2 * 3 130) = 46 950 + 68 860 = 115 810 CZK. - The “Application form for a long-term residency permit”. You can ask for the form UPCE International Office or download this form here:

28. DOPLŇUJÍCÍ INFORMACE / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: (Libuše Cermanová, Univerzita Pardubice / tel: +420 466 036 508) - document similar to an extract from the Penal Register issued by the state of which you are a citizen.
If your forms are successfully processed by the Embassy, you are then required to submit the proof of travel medical insurance for the period of your stay in the Czech Republic including the certificate of the insurance premium payment (This form must be signed and stamped by the insurance company and be in the Czech language.)
Note: Once you arrive in Pardubice, you must register at the Immigration Office (OAMP) within 30 days.
