I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague in 1994. My studies were followed by an internship at Agrobanka, a.s. and then in 1995-2000 I worked as a sales and then project manager at Derby, a.s. and then at Bank Austria Creditanstalt Czech Republic, a.s. After several years on maternity leave, since 2009 I have been working at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, first as a financial manager of projects co-financed by European funds and then since 2012 as an academic at the Department of Economy and Management of Chemical and Food Industry. In 2010, I enrolled in the doctoral studies and in 2015 I defended my dissertation at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice and received a Ph.D. in Business Management and Economics.
My professional focus is on project management issues, both in general and with a focus on projects co-financed from European funds, the personnel dimension of project management and the evaluation of the level of project management. In the field of project management I am certified as an IPMA Level C Project Manager, PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner. I am a co-author of the professional publication Corporate Social Responsibility of Companies in Socially Sensitive Industries (published by Grada Publishing, 2017), co-author of a chapter in the professional publication Social Innovation in Higher Education Landscape, Practices, and Opportunities (published by Springer, 2021), and head of the author collective of the monograph Diversity Management, which will be published by the University of Pardubice by the end of 2021. I am an author of university textbooks, author or co-author of more than 40 articles in professional journals and international conference proceedings. I have been involved in the preparation of several national and international development and research projects, among which were or are still being implemented cooperation projects with BI Norwegian Business School, the project INCHEBIO, IVEMCH or NANOBIO. I also work closely with other foreign partners (Technological University Dublin, National Taipei University of Technology and many others). I am a national representative in COST Action CA18236 Multi-disciplinary Innovation for Social Change and the leader of the project team that is addressing research tasks in this area. I am also a member of the project team of COST Action CA16121 - From Sharing to Caring: Examining Socio-Technical Aspects of the Collaborative Economy. Last but not least, I teach students in undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and I often teach foreign students coming to the University of Pardubice under the Erasmus+ programme.
I am also involved in project management issues outside the University, working as a consultant in the area of implementation of projects from European Structural and Investment Funds at the regional level. My interest in project management is also related to my membership in the Society for Project Management (since 2020 IPMA CZ).
I have no experience with coaching or mentoring, although I always try to be helpful to my students and project supervision or project management consultancy is also very close to such forms of support.
I like to balance my demanding work activities with my family, my husband and three now grown or almost grown children, our two cocker spaniels, traveling, hiking, skiing or biking, on or near the water. What was originally a low-maintenance way of supporting my children in their active sport - circuit yachting - has turned into another hobby, where I help organise camps for beginners and advanced sailors at my home club, Yachtclub Pardubice, and I am the chairman of the 29er and 49er Yacht Class Association, which supports youth racers at a national level, but also co-organises major races, such as this year's European Junior 49er and 49erFX Championships in Lipno.
