Professor Mošner pursued his studies at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Pardubice, which he successfully completed in 1990 in the field of study Inorganic Technology. After graduation he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Inorganic Technology of the Institute. In the years 1990-94 he realized his doctoral study here. Shortly after his doctoral graduation he took up the job of Assistant Professor at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, where he has been employed up until now. In 2004 he was awarded a degree of Associate Professor in the field of Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Materials. Ten years later he was appointed Professor in the same field.
Since 1988 professional activities of Professor Mošner have been connected to the study of special phosphate and borophosphate based glasses. Study of structure, properties and primarily thermal behaviour of these glasses and searching for their mutual relations belong to the main topics of Prof. Mošner`s research. Also, the majority of his professional publications and conference papers is dedicated to the issue of glass. He is author and co-author of more than 100 publications in international journals, and 300 papers in conference proceedings. He has been a grantee of a whole range of grant projects. The fact that he presented the results of his research at international conferences enabled him to establish cooperation with renowned international workplaces (University in Lille, University in Jena, University of Trenčín, Ruder Boskovic Institute in Zagreb).
As for the pedagogical activities, Professor Mošner is currently a supervisor of the master study programme Material Engineering and doctoral study programme Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Materials. Within his pedagogical work he has supervised many bachelor and diploma theses as well as doctoral dissertations. Apart from the pedagogical and professional activities, Professor Mošner performed and still performs several organisational roles. For many years he acted as a Secretary of the Department, Chair of the Academic Senate and Vice-Dean of the Faculty. In addition to that, he is a long-standing member of the Committee of the Czech Glass Society and a member of other professional societies.
Professor Mošner has many hobbies, the most important of which are sport and alpinism. He also likes to play harmonica in his free time.
